Before Pictures
Kitchen Demolition
The pre-construction work for this kitchen renovation has been done. The city building permit has been secured, all selections have been made, and the client has had their furniture relocated.
The pictures may not show it but our interior demolition process isn’t like you’ve seen on TV. We call it a “De-construction’ process. We don’t use sledge hammers and we don’t run into walls to knock them down!
We carefully remove every cabinet, counter top, appliance, etc. Occasionally some of these items are in good enough condition to donate.
plastic dust barrier
Yes it gets messy!
You never know what’s behind the drywall!
Carpentry, Plumbing, Electric, and HVAC

Electrical reconfigured for new kitchen layout

New Drywall
New Hardwood Flooring
Flooring was delivered 3 days prior to installation. It’s important for the wood to get acclimated to the home’s humidity levels.

The existing floors were 1-1/2 inch wide Red Oak hardwood. We installed the same size and stained them.

The floor stain color is Jacobean by Minwax. Our flooring supplier and installer is Desitter Flooring in Glen Ellyn. They always do a professional job.
We were able to splice in the new floor to the old floor. This eliminated the need for a transition strip.
First layer of floor protection
Second layer of floor protection. Can’t be too careful!
