Here are some before and after pictures of a Bartlett IL kitchen remodeling project we recently completed. The homeowner wanted an open concept kitchen which would allow for easy entertaining.
It’s a split level home which had the typical separate dining room and kitchen. The kitchen was dark and crowded, although that’s how they used to be built! We removed the wall and relocated most of the plumbing and electric to accommodate the new design.
Bartlett IL Kitchen Remodeling Creates Open Concept living
If this house were to be built today this is how it would probably be designed. Open concept has been around for quite some time now. Kitchen remodeling can make a modest sized home feel open and larger than it actually is.
This customer now has room for entertaining. The entire family can gather around the island. There’s room for more than one chef in the family too!
See the dramatic changes!
Lighting can really make a new kitchen more functional and attractive. Recessed can lights brighten up the entire space. The under cabinet lighting not only acts as task lighting but creates a dramatic effect on the new tile back splash.
The countertop on the island is Cambria Berwyn Quartz. The countertops on the perimeter cabinets are Ceasarstone Piatra Grey quartz. The grey tones in the Cambria quartz coordinate nicely with the Ceasarstone.
The kitchens initially installed in most older homes were given very little thought to much of anything. Tract housing came with very basic designs and cabinetry to keep homes affordable. As our needs for space grow so have today’s kitchen design practices.
It’s very important to work with a kitchen designer that focuses on function as well as beauty.
The white cabinetry and dark hardwood flooring is a classic look that these customers will enjoy for many years.

Review from owner of this new kitchen!
Kathy C. Bartlett;
The thought of going through a major renovation can be very intimidating and overwhelming. It’s also very scary trying to find a contractor you can trust, who does quality work, is dependable, completes the job in the time frame which was given and finishes the job at the price that was quoted. Chris at Rosseland Remodeling gets an A+ in all categories. We recently had some major renovations done to our kitchen, dining room and living room. The kitchen was a total gut job, the wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed, the front hall closet was demolished and rebuilt in another location and the sunken living room was raised so that the kitchen/dining rm/living rm are now all the same level. The people who work for Rosseland did an amazing job (i.e: electrician, painter, plumber, carpenter, flooring people, appliance installers). They showed up on time every day and cleaned up before they left and were all extremely friendly and very trustworthy. Chris Rosseland was there practically every morning making sure the workers knew what was expected of them every day. If changes need to be made, he was very easy going about it and gave valuable input. Chris originally anticipated that it would take approximately 9 weeks to finish but they were done in 8! He provides a detailed timeline of when everything will get done. We are all ecstatic about the final result and would definitely use Rosseland Remodeling again for any future renovations.
